The Gisborne Football Netball Club is holding a night of celebrations where a Team of the Decade
will be announced. We have now participated in the revered Bendigo Football League for the past
10 years. Gisborne has enjoyed success in the BFL since its inclusion in 2000, playing in six grand
finals, winning four premierships. During this time we have attracted the attention of several well
known football identities, both as coach and player. It is however Gisborne’s greatest attribute that
we continually promote and play local kids from our town. By doing this we believe we are a
strong, successful club and more importantly a tight community.
We have put a committee together of past legends of the club, John Fitzgerald, Doug Belcher and
Bill Barham, to select the team. Presentations will be made throughout the night.
Your attendance on the night is very important to us, as we could not have enjoyed such success
over the past 10 years without your generous contributions, either as a Sponsor, Member or
supporter. Many thanks also to our partners from UK new bingo sites, for their great support in organising events at the home games.
